I am an illustrator and author based in Madrid, Spain. I studied architecture in Bogota, and after graduating I went to Scotland to do an M.Arch. Then I headed to Spain, where I worked as an architect and an interior designer for several years. I became an illustrator in 2009 when I realized drawing was what I wanted to do for a living. In 2016 I co-founded, with other professionals, the in-depth journalism magazine for children ¡La leche!
My work has been published in Colombia, Italy, and Spain. One of my covers for ¡La leche! was awarded by The Association of Illustrators of Madrid in 2019. Other awards include an Honorary Mention given by El Banco del Libro de Venezuela for the book De los Pies a la Cabeza, published by Cataplum in 2020 (text by Pilar Posada). My illustrations for El león de Candela won Best Illustrations for Books in Illustrofest in 2021. My book Tachán was longlisted by DPictus in 2021, and it was one of the four finalists of the Concurso de Álbum Ilustrado de Gran Canaria the same year.
